On The Catwalk

About a month ago Jayce participated in a spring fashion show that was presented by the Navy Marine Corps Relieve Society Nearly New Shop (NMCRS). It was an event held to raise money for the Active Duty Campaign Drive, which brought in over 2,000.00 dollars. I know that probably does not seem like much; but it must be taken into consideration that the Nearly New Shop sales a bag of clothes for a dollar!! So, the fashion show was a true success!!

Aside from raising money for the campaign drive the NMCRS wanted the Sigonella community to know the recourses they have available to them, and that the Nearly New Shop has some very fashionable and quality name brand clothing that gets donated.

Before Lana was born I was the Chairman of volunteers for the NMCRS and Jayce has also been a volunteer for the past 2 years. For this event, Jayce got to strut his stuff on the catwalk…..

As you can see, Jayce was not totally thrilled about all the gel and hairspray being put in his hair, but he was a good sport about it.

Jayce looking quite dapper as he waits for the fashion show to start. Below are a few pictures of some of the other models and their outfits. All the models wore clothing that had been donated to the Nearly New Shop and then the outfits were auctioned off during the event.

These girls were so cute!! And, the young man in picture below is a friend of Jayce's.

Jayce came out and walked across the stage with his usual strut, but he really got the crowd pumped and excited because when he exited the runway, he did so by doing the Michael Jackson MOONWALK!!! It was GREAT! I have it on video. I’m going to post it on here, but I need to upload the video onto the computer and format it. It was really exciting and Jayce had a BLAST!
As I was getting this post together, I decided that I am now going to post FASHION FRIDAYS!! I love fashion so this is going to be loads of fun for me!
