Set In Stone

BJ got busy sealing the limestone fireplace. As you know, it is a natural, very porous, stone. Unless it has been sealed, it will absorb soot and other stains. Not to mention, anytime we touched it or sat down we got white residue all over our bottoms.

At this stage, it does not look pretty.  However, the sealant does not change the color or anything, just protects the stone.

He keeps rollin’, rollin’, rollin’!! lol

After BJ applied a good first coat, he waited about an hour, then redid the application process again.

It is clear that the artisanship of the limestone fireplace adds an elegant focal point to the living space. I feel the austerity of it is a bit alluring and pleasing to the eye. It’s going to be wonderful this winter!
