There were many great aspects of living in Sicily, especially the gelato. Since summer is ending and autumn is quickly approaching, I figured I would have one last summer post before the seasons change.
When traveling in Italy, or elsewhere in Europe for that matter, there is a vast amount of gelato to be found. Amongst the plethora of good gelato eateries, which are located nearly on every street or piazza, is the fact that our neighborhood had its very own gelato delivery guy! We were pretty lucky, right?
Gelato differs from regular ice cream in the way it is made, although it does have similar ingredients, it still tastes different from American ice cream. Gelato is very light and creamy, so luscious.
This gelato truck is so cool (ha ha ha). It did not matter what time of day he came by, everyone would rush outdoors to get a scoop or two.
Apparently, nobody would fix his or her hair before going outside to get some gelato. In this case, nothing is better than a great scoop of gelato on a lazy, hot summer morning.
