Gunite was poured this past Friday.. It looks great!!! BJ was lucky because he was home to watch them complete the job. I'm sure it was a unique thing to watch.
You can see the wall being formed in the picture below.
We have a lot of unique features on our pool. For example, when the coping is added to the top of the wall, it will create a small bench area.
The back waterfall will be elaborate with boulders, stones, big rocks, etc. We will be able to jump off the boulders into the water.
In the deep end, the wall is higher so there we have a couple of benches to help when getting out of the pool on that side.
The area where the guy is standing in the above picture, will be a huge stone that you can sit or stand on. There will also be a smaller boulder in place nearby (left side).
In the above picture, there will be a very large boulder in place near the steps. We can also stand or jump into the water from it.
The above pic shows where the large sun stone will go as previously mentioned. There will be another smaller boulder on the right side.
The hole area is a planter that will have a small wall built up around it.
The picture above is the lower deck area. I'm loving it!! ;)
This area is the upper deck. We had the option of three steps, but we elected to have the wider step to have more space since it's so close to the edge of the pool.
Our pool is unique because of all the angles. It's not your basic kidney or free form pool. The waterfall is curved and can be viewed from every window located at the back of the house! We have amazing views with the sunset, now this just makes it more beautiful!
The picture below is an extension of our patio. It will have a wall on the back side and right side. I'm hoping the wall will be high enough to cover the view of the pool equipment.
Beautiful!
It's coming together amazingly well. Looking forward to tile and coping next.
