Summer Project 2020 (In Progress)

Our garage looked bad, such an eye sore, with an exception of the flooring. The floors look great!  We had the flooring done a few years ago so it's good to go. However, other aspects such as, organization for example, needed to be corrected.  Being a 3 bay garage, it's a pretty good size overall.  We keep our vehicles in the garage, but since Jayce has left home the third bay had a tendency to get cluttered easily.

before pictures below...

This summer we decided to get busy and create a garage space that was functional, clean, organized, and appealing to the eye.

First, we reorganized the storage building to accommodate items that were in the garage that we wanted to keep, not to mention, we threw away some bundles of junk too!

Most everything at this point is out of the garage....

Then, I painted the baseboards, door, and walls....

At this point, We've made some good progress....

Now the area is prepped and ready for cabinetry, workbenches, and slat wall.

And, the real fun begins!.......

Below are pictures of the installation process...

Will is checking things out.

The inside has a nice band of color and is pretty spacious.

Up close view of the doors and hardware.

The large utility cabinet (pictured below) is AWESOME!! So much space, fits perfectly. It's my favorite!

The electrician installed some extra electrical outlets for us.

 The slat wall was added...

It is looking good so far!!

We tested to make sure a car would still fit in the area..

 Perfect fit!!

The under cabinet lighting will be installed this weekend.

We still have more to do with the installation. We are having a cabinet installed above the refrigerator.  Adding overhead storage near the garage doors (see picture below).  And, a huge slat wall on the third bay area wall.  I'll keep you posted!

Such a great improvement!  I'm so happy!

All the best,
