Odd?? Not For Me.

Today was a really great day for me. Most days are wonderful, but today was an exception. I have something to confess. You will probably think I am an odd person, but I love going to the grocery store. I could easily spend three hours going up and down the aisles. Since Lana has been born I have not had the opportunity to spend as much time in the grocery store as I usually do, but today I did, and I loved it!! I enjoy thinking about all the possibilities with the food that I can prepare for my family. I also enjoy finding a great recipe then planning the meal in my mind, and picking out all the best, healthiest, organic foods I can find. Going to the grocery store is one of my favorite things to do by myself. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s pure joy for me!!

NBA LIVE 2006

Jayce will be playing basketball soon and I can’t wait!!! I love basketball! Almost 3 years ago, before we moved here to Sicily we had the opportunity of going to a live NBA game and it was totally awesome! I LOVED every minute of it!!! At the time, we were traveling from Florida to Virginia and we made a few stops, one being in Charlotte, North Carolina. We decided it would be fun to watch the Bobcats play, and to our surprise they were playing against Miami Heat, which Shaquille O’Neil was on the team. We had really great seats (club section) and the energy was amazing. We had an incredible experience; I can’t wait till we return to the states and can go to more games!

The night of the game it was Shaq’s birthday and boy did they have some fun with him! They kept playing the song, In Da’ Club by 50 Cent because the lyrics say, It's your birthday, we gon' party like it's yo birthday.. Too funny!

In 2006, Shaquille O’Neal took the Heat all the way to the NBA Championship. He is definitely one of the most dominant players in the NBA and it was pretty cool to watch him up close and personal.

The Time Warner Cable Arena was magnificent. If you ever get the chance to attend an event there, it is very much worth it, what a beautiful place! We were also able to dine in the FrontCourt restaurant, which is the arena’s fine dining restaurant that offers various types of cuisine from around the world. But, to be honest, Will was a bit disappointed in the restaurant so when we arrived at our seats he also ordered more game style food… Ya’ know, the good stuff.. hotdogs, nacho’s, coke.. etc.. It was HEAVEN on game day for the boys. Great seats, great food, and a GREAT GAME!!

Of course, here is my ultimate favorite Basketball player and crazy fan during this moment!!

Ok, so I thought I would have a little fun… I never get a great deal of pictures posted of me on the blog so I thought I would post one that I took of myself. It was actually taken awhile back, but I wanted to post it anyway.. I’ll be sure to post a few more in the near future. Well, I finally made it to the store the other day and remembered to get the photos from the night of Jayce’s induction into the National Junior Honor Society. The quality is poor, but I wanted to post them anyway since I’m so proud of my kiddo. Jayce is a stellar student and commits so much of his spare time to actively volunteer in the community. This is a well deserved achievement for him!! GO JAYCE!!
