All Hallow's Eve 2010

I have sat down a number of times to share the details of our Halloween. But, could never get all the pictures uploaded due to such a busy schedule. Nonetheless, It began as a lazy Sunday morning. Not the lounge around your house, don’t bother brushing your hair kind of laziness. It was more like loll around in the sunshine on the lawn. We gathered to take pictures, carve pumpkins, eat candy, and laugh together.

With that being said, after the family photos, I captured Lana playing in the trees and running about in the yard.

Boo! I see you!

As dusk approached, we got Lana dressed to trick-or-treat. Since she is our “little stinker”, we made her a skunk costume. BJ, Jayce, and I did everything ourselves. Although, I must admit, BJ did most of the sewing. It actually turned out very nice and she looked adorable.

Initially, she was not quite sure what to do. However, after going to a few houses and practicing saying, “trick or treat” and “happy Halloween”, she was quite excited.

We carved two pumpkins. The first was a ghost and the second was a mummy! Too cool.

Happy Halloween to all!

The Willy Wonka Waltz

This year’s fall Homecoming Dance theme is the Willy Wonka Waltz. Jayce has already left for the dance, which I am hoping that he will take some pictures with his cell phone so that I can post them on here. He felt he was too cool to take a point and shoot camera. He says, “Only girls do that, Mom.” Either way, he was looking very stunning in his suite. I must say, that boy unquestionably has swagger!

The “paparazza” (aka mom with her camera) was surly bound to take a million shots of him before he left the house.

Spooky Thrills

Last night Troy, BJ, Jayce, and I went to the haunted house, Nightmare on Grayson. It was spooky and quite long to walk through than most haunted houses we have entered. We had much pleasure taken from some great laughs on the drive back home while we spoke about our encounters and reactions while walking (sometimes pushing) each other along inside the haunted house.

I did not want to risk getting my camera broken so the pictures below were taken on a cell phone. They turned out pretty good, I think.

It was set in what appeared to be an old condemned warehouse. It is actually next to the old Pearl Brewery near downtown San Antonio.

Occasionally the ghost, goblins, and ghouls would walk around outside. We caught a glimpse while we were waiting in line for our group to enter.

We thought this pumpkin dude was super scary and creepy, so I had Jayce stand next to him to get a picture. He’s one tall pumpkin, huh?!

You are probably aware by now that I love going to haunted houses during Halloween! Fun times!!

Football Friday

It was another victory for the Jags! This game was extra special for us, because Troy came over to watch Jayce play and hang out with us for the weekend. Below are some pictures of Jayce during the game.

A little bit of AIR action going on!

If you look closely, you can see Jayce in the dogpile. His glove can easily identify him. Do you notice him now?

This is a picture of Jayce and his Uncle Troy after the game. I had to leave during the game to attend a meeting inside the school so BJ took this picture and failed to change the lens prior. Nonetheless, we are so thankful that Troy came to watch Jayce play and spend some time with us. We love you!
