Happy Retirement

My friend and colleague retired this year from teaching. We had an amazing lunch and enjoyed great company with friends. Happy retirement, Jean.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 'Hood Summer 2014

Once or twice, maybe three times a year, I like to photograph the neighborhood. It feels a bit strange, but since there is so much construction, I like to look back at the growth and see how much it has changed. We've lived in this community for three years now. And, since retirement is quickly approaching we may be moving again, who knows at this point, but it's always a possibility. Today, on our walk, I took along my camera to snap a few shots of Lana playing and being silly. Of course, a few pictures of the changes in the neighborhood too.

The fence, pictured below, is a new addition.  The fence, along with the grass was finished last week.

 

 

 

 

 New construction is everywhere.  I'll be happy once the builders are gone.

The parking lot was added behind the pool area.

Happy Birthday, Jayce

 

Yesterday was Jayce's 19th birthday. We celebrated with a full on Texas style BBQ.

 

 

 

Lana was excited to blow out the candle with him, well, not with him, but FOR HIM! He was kind enough to let her. Jayce loves pies and not cake for his birthday. Lana, on the other hand, really wanted him to have a ninja birthday cake, instead she picked out a beach towel. Fun times.
