More Art By Lana

Vroom... Vroom

R E S P E C T

Lana's grade level hosted the town hall meeting this past week and the focus was respect.  They did an excellent job performing, hands down!!

Below, Lana jammed out singing and dancing!

Adorable!  Not to mention, Lana had her own guitar solo (pictured below).  I really wish I would have been seated at a different angle, but it was still fun to watch!

 That's my girl.. R E S P E C T!

Art By Lana

As mentioned previously, Lana is enrolled in an art class that takes place after school.  She's been doing it for the past 2 years.  I've posted various pieces along the way and thought it would be nice to post these...

2nd Grade

A new school opened this school year and it's pretty amazing.  It has really taken on the personality of the community and students.

This is just a small portion of the library.
Below is artwork that was a collaboration among all grade levels.

Pictured below is Lana's second grade classroom.  Lana adores her teacher this year and is excelling on all levels.

The picture above is the artwork that Lana created.  The inspiration came from artist, Romero Britto.

In this picture (above), Lana is pointing to the section that she worked on.. Of course, it was a kitty! :)

And, here is a close-up view for ya!   So cute!

Chess Club

Lana joined the chess club this year.  She seems to enjoy it.  She is involved in quite a few activities, such as art class (separate from in school class rotation), piano, mad science, and gymnastics.
She wins quite a few games each week, playing against 2nd through 5th grade students, and will probably be asked to join a tournament soon.

As long as she enjoys herself, learns and grows as a person, she can participate in anything she chooses.

Cell Hood Pics

Ha!  Totally Random.  My girl loves pancakes.. just like her bro!

Hood' January 2016

As previously stated, I post pics of the hood ever so often.  So, I thought I would squeeze in an update for 2016 thus far.  Whether you embrace these updates or not, I do so, in part, because I can see the growth and beauty of what our neighborhood is becoming.  On a side note, we are somewhat interested in moving.
We say we are interested in moving, but can't seem to find the perfect home in the right location. We had been searching, but concluded there is a good chance that we will probably remain here.  Matter of fact, we decided to just make updates to our home.  It is a nice neighborhood, small, gated, tucked away in the middle of nowhere, great neighbors, and quiet.  Not to mention, no crime and excellent schools.

The areas that are completed overall look nice.  Slowly, it's becoming a quaint neighborhood.  Some areas, like the picture above and below, still need some fine tuning.  But, once all the construction is complete, it will be nice.

The pool area will have another street wrap around it. Speaking of pools, we have revisited the idea of getting our own pool and cabana.  At the moment, we are in the design process.  (more to come later)  And pictured below, the second entrance is complete.

This picture is probably a bad view...

This small station opened about a year or so ago.  Currently, we have two more shopping centers being built near the community.
