Pool Selections

We visited the design center today for the pool selections.  We chose Oklahoma flagstone coping, this is the same flagstone on our house.   The flagstone will be used on the coping, stairs, walls, etc.  We chose mission tan cool decking, Caribbean blue pebble tec with shimmering sea crystals, moss rock boulders, and an Oklahoma stone slab as a sun shelf.

The tile pictured below is very pretty, it reminds me of a cloudy rainy day.  We went outside and placed it near the Oklahoma flagstone and it blended very well, yet added a bit of simple color and style. It feels great to the touch, too! I love the texture and feel of the Sundek decking.  Hopefully, it will be a bit cooler to walk on as it claims to be.

We decided to go with the Zars brass micro drain.  It will edge along the border of the patios.  It won over the other option of cheap plastic!  (you can see it in the picture)  That's a no brain-er, right?

Overall, our pool building experience has been great.  I'm especially glad we went with Keith Zars Pools instead of other builders we spoke with.  I feel our next biggest challenge will be the final design of the water feature.  Wish me luck!

Merry Christmas

We awoke to another beautiful "White Christmas"!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Lights Downtown SLC

SLC downtown is very nice.  Jayce lives near the University so it's very close to all the downtown attractions, restaurants, City Creek Shopping, etc.   Below are some pictures of the lights near the Temple.

Trolley Square

We went to Trolley Square and bought some really great olive oil.  To our surprise, we have a location in Austin to get refills!

SLC

We headed out to Jayce's apt. and then to the movies to see Star Wars Rogue One.
