Projects In Progress

Next week I will post pictures of the completed projects after I finish caulking and painting. Before then, I wanted to share a few pictures of the work in progress. You know, I am super giddy inside now that the moulding has been installed. I know it is going to be beautiful once completed.

Just a touch of paint will complete this!

BJ installing the outdoor ceiling fan. Stay tuned for more...

Christmas Merriment *Part Two

Before all the Christmas decorations are packed away, I thought I would share a few more pictures….

The picture below is after I added the Christmas wreath above the fireplace.

A close up of our stockings… We also have one for Smokey and my mom.

The next six pictures down are close up images of my stocking holders. I love them!! They are so unique and charming.

Our beautiful Smokey-Kitty under the tree, it is her most favorite spot during the holiday season. We had a great Christmas; I am looking forward to next year. Happy New Year!

Christmas 2011 *Part One

My mom was here for another very short, but super sweet visit for Christmas. It was nice to talk with her and watch movies, and even though she did not want to watch the Twilight series, she was a pretty good sport about it. I wanted her to watch enough to determine if she was TEAM EDWARD (BJ) or TEAM JACOB (me). We managed to watch the first, and about 30 minutes of the second. I’m gonna bet that she does not continue watching them after she’s home, but then again, she just might surprise me. (LoL) Aside from dinners out, gift exchanging, and driving around viewing Christmas lights, she had lots of fun with Lana and Jayce too.

They look so darn cute, don’t they?

We did a fun little project of making candy cane reindeers….

While Lana was waiting to glue on the eyes, she decided to give them to the ginger- bread man! (LoL)

Looking cute so far…

The reindeer’s nose would not stay on very well. However, Jayce was determined to get them to stick so he used super glue…

Now this reindeer has pretty cool looking antlers, BUT the one he did prior was extremely laughable…

A short while later, Lana asked grandma to make “pink cookies” with her....

If you look closely at the cookies, a few of them have mile high sprinkles. Lana is a bit heavy handed, I suppose.

And, of course, she was the first to try them. In fact, they were so good that dear O’ Santa Claus did not even get a crumb.

Remember those reindeer? We turned them into centerpieces for the table….

Christmas Merriment Continued

Before I blog about Christmas 2011, I thought I would share a few more pictures from our Christmas weekend on the River Walk & a day full of shopping.

We spent the evening playing ping-pong, pool, and swimming. The swimming pool was unique due to the fact half was indoors and half was outside on the rooftop, only to be separated by a very large glass that you could easily swim under to go back and forth.

One last picture of us all together before leaving the hotel.

We had breakfast at IHop, which was by Jayce's choice... I  didn't care where we ate breakfast, my ultimate goal was to make sure everyone had lots of energy for a BIG shopping day!

While out shopping, Lana was able to enjoy a merry-go-round ride with her daddy.

Even more so, I found a hidden spot that was great for a photo op! LOVE IT!

The last few pictures are from later in the day, leaving a restaurant…

Lana is so precious, I couldn’t resist a picture.

Not sure, really.

Here we are heading home… I love the bond of our family…
