Happy Turkey Day

We had our usual turkey day traditions. It was nice to relax. I did not take many pictures, but we did manage to get our Christmas trees decorated. I thought I would share one picture of the tree downstairs. I will try to get more pictures posted of our other tree and more decorations throughout our home. But, I cannot make any promises.

Midnight Release Of Black Ops

Recently I took Jayce to the midnight release of Black Ops. For those of you who do not know, it is a PS3 game. Am I a cool mom or what? I even get extra cool points because it was a school night AND I allowed Jayce some game time until 3 am. Yes, he is a lucky kid and he more than deserved it…. Good times.

Oh, the joys of being a kid in 2010!!

Evening After A Game

Often after Jayce’s football games, we would go out to dinner. Not too long ago, we went to a pizza parlor similar to a Chuck-e-Cheese, although from the outside, that is not what we had anticipated. Even so, we had a good time and Lana enjoyed it the most!

I had some fun with the mirrors, I like this image.

Lana had tons of fun playing basketball with her daddy!!

This is a cool picture; it appears as if Jayce is praying, when in fact, he was recovering from a yawn.

Who Doesn't Love A Great Burger?

Burger’s are a staple for American food. Come on’ its burgers, who doesn’t love to eat a juicy, beefy, burger? Well, I guess if you are a vegetarian or something than you may think otherwise. Generally, I would not blog about going out to dinner because it is something we do often, but this particular night I got some great pictures, so I felt the need to share the mundane details. Plus, we’re talking burgers…

It was good food and a nice atmosphere at Red Robin, I would not consider it as the greatest burgers ever, but I would go back. Prior to dinner, we had been shopping and eventually made our way to Barnes and Noble to buy some books. Everyone in this household is an avid reader so we can easily spend a significant amount of time in a bookstore. Afterwards, we were famished, thought we would try somewhere new to eat, and ended up at Red Robin.

This is a cute picture of Jayce. He was pretending to be shy or standoffish. This is his way of saying, "No more paparazzi, please!"

I ordered a Bleu Ribbon Burger. If you are not familiar with this burger, it has a tangy steak sauce (similar to A1) and is topped with crumbled Bleu cheese. Which by the way, I love to top off burgers, steaks, and salads with Bleu cheese, so tasty! It also had chipotle mayo sauce that was sorta zesty. Oh, I cannot forget the onion bun. Sorry, I can’t remember what the others ordered, but what Jayce and I considered exceptional, the chocolate malt! It was delicious!

My lil’ protégée, Lana, took this picture of her daddy. She is just the sweetest girl ever.

I told you these pictures were frivolous… Lana was framing her face (like a camera) and kept saying, “Cheese!” What a doll!

Jayce, just like his father, is full of surprises. BJ was talking with the host and getting Lana a balloon, I was heading out the door, glanced back, and Jayce was in statue mode. He’s very witty!

Yay, Lana loved her balloon!

On The Camera....

As I mentioned before, I uploaded many images from the camera onto the computer. We have had many things going on from football, dinners out, and just plain random stuff. Below are a few pictures that actually coincide with other events I plan to elaborate on later, but I thought I would go ahead and post these for fun.

This is a picture of BJ after a football game. It was an away game and the high school campus had these awesome statues throughout various locations.

I love the look on Lana’s face, she is a silly girl!

This was taken after I had my hair color changed. I really like this picture, I think I look pretty.

With a new hair color, new make-up is necessary! I opted for Bobbi Brown this time. So far, I like the look and feel of the make-up.

This is just a silly close-up of me after I tried out the new make-up. Oh, the fun of being a girl…Not to mention, I love my smile!

More to come.....

Troy's Visit

Today It seems as if I uploaded a trillion pictures to the computer. Instantly, it reminded me of how behind I am in keeping everyone updated with us.

First, I thought I would expand on Troy’s visit a few weeks ago. He arrived in San Antonio on the morning of Jayce’s game day. BJ and Troy picked Jayce up from school for lunch to eat some BBQ while I stayed home with Lana so she could take a nap.

Later that evening, after the game, we all went to dinner at Red Lobster. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures the first night at dinner. But, If you remember, I did share pictures from the game in a previous post.

The next morning, I cooked a nice big breakfast for us, and we lounged around the house. I managed to get a few pictures of BJ and Troy.

Here they are playing some iPhone games…. It seemed intense!

Friday evening was the varsity homecoming game, so we headed out the door to eat dinner prior. We happened to get lucky and stumble upon a pizzeria that served New York style pizza. It was pretty darn good, to say the least.

I just knew you wanted to see a picture of the mouth-watering pizza and breadsticks!

Although the Jags lost, it was a good game. Since it was homecoming night, they had a great half-time presentation! As usual, there was a nice turnout of people to watch some football!

To top the night off, after the game, we went to a haunted house. Mid Saturday afternoon, Troy boarded the plane back to Amarillo, Texas.

Here in this picture, Troy is leaving with the "fall goodie bag" of gifts and treats we bought for Tatum.

Thanks for visiting Troy!
